Impactante foto. Esa mirada llena de odio y rabia. A punto de estallar en llanto o en furia. Esta sujetando los sentimientos justo antes de la tormenta.

Bienvenidos a esta isla / Welcome to this Island
Empezare contándoos como llegué al nombre Isla Tuvalu para este blog y que tiene que ver con el contenido que aquí os presentaré.
El principio de la historia es una película llamada simplemente Tuvalu. No se que tiene que ver realmente con la isla real del mismo nombre, pero es una película muy curiosa, en blanco y negro y sus personajes apenas hablan, con gestos crean una atmósfera en la que el sonido y el movimiento adquieren todo el peso del relato.
El caso es que buscando mas información sobre la película me enteré de que es el nombre de una isla del Pacífico y que posee unas características que la hacen única. Es un estado independiente de tan sólo 26 km cuadrados siendo el segundo país con menos población solo superado por el Vaticano. Es el estado con menos población que es miembro de la ONU. Y con esas dimensiones antes mencionadas es el 4o estado más pequeño del mundo solo superior a Vaticano, Monaco y Nauru.
Pero lo que le hace realmente única es que su máxima elevación es de tan solo 5 metros sobre el nivel del mar y debido al calentamiento global de la tierra se teme que será el primer país independiente en tener que ser evacuado debido a que será deborado en un futuro (puede que no muy lejano) por el mar.
Y de esa circunstancia es de donde se inspira este blog. Trata de la idea de saborear la belleza que se nos cruce en el camino sea natural o creada por el hombre, de mostrar lo que merece la pena sea del tipo que sea. Porque un día puede desaparecer como puede que le pase a esta preciosa isla y entonces nos daremos cuenta de lo que hemos perdido. Hay tantas cosas maravillosas a nuestro alrededor que merecen que les prestemos atención.
En este blog ire presentando aquellas cosas que encuentre y que me parezcan que merecen ser expuestas para admirarlas y que provoquen sentimientos al contemplarlas. Y por merecer la pena y belleza no quiero decir solo lo socialmente bonito, lo perfecto, lo que esté de moda, etc Hay muchas formas de belleza, además no olvidemos que todo es relativo y que no tiene por qué gustar todo ni a todas las personas. De hecho la unanimidad conduce a la monotonía y al aburrimiento.
Bienvenidos a este escaparate de seres, objetos y conceptos que os iré presentando.
I'll start telling you how I got to the name of Tuvalu Island for this blog and its relation to the content I'll show you here.
The beginning of the story is a film called "Tuvalu". I don't really know what is the relationship with the real Island but it's an odd film, made in black and white and the characters nearly don't talk at all, it all about gestures and a few words, which makes a singular atmosfere where the sound and the movement gets all the weight of the story.
The thing is that looking for more information about that film I discovered that it is the name of a Island in the Pacific Ocean and that it has some properties which make it simply unique. It's am Independent State with just 26 square km being the second-least populated independent country in the world with Vatican having the least. It's the smallest member by population of the United Nations, and because of the dimensions mentioned before it's the fourth smallest country in the world, larger than only the Vatican, Monaco and Nauru.
But what makes it really unique is that its highest elevation is five meters above sea level and because of the glogal warming it is possible that it will be the first country being evacuated due to the sea raising above that level.
And it's from that fact where this blog is inspired on. It is about the idea of tasting the beauty we can find both natural and created by the human being, showing what it is worth it whatever its kind it is. Because some day it can vanish as this awesome island can do it and that day all of us will realize what we have lost. There are so many marvellous things all around us which are worth it we paying attention.
In this blog I'll show you those things I come through and I think they must be exposed to be admired and the feelings produced by watching them flowing. And by worth it and beauty I don't mean the socially nice, the perfection, which is fashionable, etc. There are a lot of ways of beauty, further more don't forget that everything is relative and not all the people like the same things. Actually the unanimity just drives us to the monotony and boredom.
So welcome to this showcase of beings, objects and concepts that I'm going to
introduce you.
